Karen is a skilled artist with emphasis in mediums such was water based oils, pastels, and pencil while also being a specialty portrait artist. Her commissions have been well received by her numerous patrons.
As a part of Centre for Arts and Artists' outreach, Karen has provided over 4 years of art based activities to the Basic and Beyond students where she is employed. Through her volunteerism, B. & B. students have created photography, wall hangings, pottery, paintings, and art of repurposed materials. Although there is no art in the B. & B. curriculum, Centre for Arts and Artists has provided materials. The implementation of the art opportunities at the school have been through Karen's efforts. CAA has since welcomed those students to continue their creativity at the Centre.
Karen encourages all to come for a tour of the Centre for Arts and Artists. Please check the calendar of events on the Face Book page and also at the website.
